This Privacy Policy explains how FLTECHS (Florida Tech Services), 5270 Golden Gate Pkwy, Naples, FL 34116, collects, uses and protects information when you visit fltechs.com or contact us. By using this website, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect only what we need to answer your questions and provide our services. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Information you give us

When you use our contact form, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number, company name, the service you are interested in and your message. When you call, email or text us, we receive the information you choose to share. We keep inquiries, report requests and newsletter sign-ups in our customer management system, which we host on our own servers, so we can respond and keep track of our conversations with you.

If you sign up for updates on our Resources page, we collect your email address and use it only to send you those updates. Every update includes a way to unsubscribe.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our web server records basic technical information for each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. We use these records only to keep the website secure and working.

We also use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host on our own servers, to understand how visitors use this website. It does not use cookies. It records the pages visited, the referring website, browser and device type, an approximate location (country, region and city) worked out from your IP address, which is not stored, which links and buttons are clicked, how far pages are scrolled and how long our free tools are used. For the free tools we also count anonymous results, such as an email grade, a score range or which safeguards are missing, but never what you type, such as a domain name, phone number or business name. To improve the website, Umami also keeps session recordings and click heatmaps: a replay of how the page looked and where the mouse moved, clicked and scrolled during a visit. Everything typed into forms and tools is masked before it leaves your browser, so recordings never contain what you enter. Recordings are stored on our own servers and viewed only by FLTECHS staff. This data is not shared with advertisers, and this website does not use advertising cookies or social media pixels. To opt out, you can block the scripts at fltechs.com/_a/s.js and fltechs.com/_a/recorder.js with your browser or an ad blocker.

We also use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to measure how visitors find and use this website, such as which pages are visited, which search engine or website referred them and whether they contacted us. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and sends this usage data, together with your IP address, to Google, which may process it in the United States. We have turned off Google's advertising features (Google signals and ad personalization), so this data is not used to show you ads. To opt out, use Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or block cookies for this website in your browser. Google describes how it handles this data at policies.google.com/privacy.

Our free tools, such as the internet speed test, VoIP test and email security check, run in your browser. We do not store what you enter or your results unless you choose to send them to us. You can do that in two ways: the “Send my results to FLTECHS” button opens our contact form with your results filled in, and the “Email me my full report” option on some tools emails the report to the address you enter. For a report request we use your name, email address, optional company and phone number, and the report itself to send it; we keep a copy, share it with our team, and contact you about it only if you tick the box that allows it. To work, some tools connect directly to outside services: the speed and VoIP tests measure against Cloudflare’s network and our own test server, and the email security check reads public DNS records through Cloudflare or Google.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your inquiry, prepare a quote or consultation, deliver and support the services you request, send updates you asked for, and protect our website against abuse. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, such as our website hosting, email delivery and website analytics (Google Analytics) providers, and only as needed for them to provide those services. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our clients or the public.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you agree to receive text messages from FLTECHS, or from a business that uses the Switchboard phone system FLTECHS provides, we use your mobile number only to send the messages you agreed to receive, such as replies to your questions, appointment reminders and account notices. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Our SMS Terms are at fltechs.com/sms-terms.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Links to other websites

Our website links to other sites, such as Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and our remote support portal. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. Our Internet Speed Test runs in your browser and exchanges test data directly with Cloudflare’s speed test service; FLTECHS does not store your results.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry and client information for as long as we need it to respond to you, provide our services and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. After that, we delete it or keep it securely.

How we protect information

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No website or email is completely secure, so please do not send passwords or other sensitive credentials through our contact form.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you updates. Email info@fltechs.com or call (239) 986-8647 and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children’s privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
