What is co-managed IT?
Co-managed IT is a partnership between your in-house IT staff and an outside provider. Your team keeps ownership of your systems and decisions, and FLTECHS adds help desk capacity, monitoring, security tools and project help where you need it.
How is co-managed IT different from managed IT?
With fully managed IT, we act as your entire IT department. With co-managed IT, you already have IT staff and we fill specific gaps. Many businesses move between the two as they grow.
Will our IT staff lose control or access?
No. Your team keeps admin access and the final say on changes. We agree up front on who handles which tickets and systems, and we document our work so your staff always know what was done.
Can you cover when our IT person is on vacation?
Yes. Vacation and sick-day coverage is one of the most common reasons businesses choose co-managed IT. Because we already monitor and document your systems, we can pick up tickets without a long handoff.
Which tools do you use, and can our team access them?
We provide remote monitoring, endpoint protection with EDR, patching and ticketing, and your team gets access to what they need. If you already have tools you like, we can often work with them.
